Authorized Visas

It is the one that those citizens of countries that for immigration policy reasons require prior authorization from the National Directorate of Migration, to enter the country.
Nationals of these countries can apply for an Authorized Tourist Visa through the nearest Panamanian Embassy or Consulate, or with the assistance of a lawyer in Panama.

The applicant must apply for the visa 60 days in advance, since the Public Safety and National Defense Council must verify the application and provide its authorization.
The approval or not of the visa is a decision made at the discretion of the immigration authorities and the Security Council.
